DTF Printing

Direct-to-film (DTF) printing creates your design on a transfer film using color ink, a white ink base, and a heat-activated adhesive. A heat press bonds the design to the garment, leaving a flexible print on the fabric’s surface.

Benefits of DTF

Works with cotton, polyester, and many blends.
Detailed artwork, photographs, and crisp lettering in full color.

Things to consider

The print has a noticeable surface feel, especially across large solid areas.
Large solid prints can reduce breathability in the printed area.
Heat-sensitive fabrics and coated materials need compatibility testing.

DTF vs. DTG

Both methods support full-color artwork and orders of different sizes. DTF offers broader fabric compatibility and a bold surface print. DTG prints directly onto the fabric and is often preferred for a softer finish on cotton. Fabric and feel are the main reasons to choose between them.
